Flood

June 15, 2007

Torrents of rain
A cleansing flood
A whisper of waves
Turned to a thud
Against the windowpane
Of our hearts
The darkness behind it
Brought to the light
Nothing to hide us
Nothing to fight
The Light and its Glory

The love that melts
The hardest of hearts
The name that makes tender,
In a whisper,
“I love you.”
