All the Way

A cool breeze from Heaven
swept over my face
The arms of love
held me in embrace.
The Heavens touched the skies
and opened up my eyes to
something new.
Something holy, Something new
The Heavens opened up
in front of me and you.
His glory came, His glory stayed
and went with us all the way.

Open up the floodgates

Open up the floodgates
Open up the windows
Open up the world, Lord
I want to see it with You.

I wanna see as You see
I wanna see the world free
Open up the floodgates
Let Your Spirit come.

"Now it shall come to pass in the latter days
That the mountain of the Lord’s house
Shall be established on the top of the mountains,
And shall be exalted above the hills;
And all nations shall flow to it.
Many people shall come and say,
“Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord
To the house of the God of Jacob;
He will teach us His ways,
And we shall walk in His paths.”
For out of Zion shall go forth the law,
And the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. " Isaiah 2:2-3

Time's ticking

Time's ticking
A quickening
to the body of Christ.
All things
All things
brought together
under one head,
even Christ.
All things sown
together in the
fabric of His robe
know as glory
His glory.

By the Blood

"Stretch out your hand,"
cried the old man.
"Look closely. Closer, I say!
Are your hands peeling?
Are your hands dry?
No? Well, work them
until they have
wrinkles and they
tell the story of
where they've been."
As I drew my hand close to my eye,
I noticed a wrinkle
of the times that went by.
There were traces of these places
my hand has been
and then, as an echo,
my hand replied,
"I've been in the dirt;
I've been in the grime;
I've been washed clean
by the Blood for all time."

"I Hold Them Both"

"I hold the universe in My hand
My fingertips stroke the heart
of every single man,
living or dying
I hold them both:
the assurance, the hope—
life everlasting."

I Can Do All Things Through Him

February 6, 2008

I wonder how I'll do this
I wonder how I'll make it
how I'll persevere
Then I hear You, Lord.
You, whisper in my ear,
"Come to Me, all you who labor
and are heavy laden
and I will give you rest."
Amidst all my frustration
all my tears
I hear, once again,
"Peace, be still."
Then, when I think I'm alone
I see Your hand
working on my behalf
stretching out
and beckoning me,
"Daughter, here I am.
I am your comfort;
I am your friend.
I'll never leave you;
My love for you
will never end.
And while the pages of
your life may seem to
rush through your hand,
I say Daughter,
Dear,
Darling
Please, take My hand
Come with Me to
a secret peaceful
place
And rest in My land—
Flowing with milk
and honey
and a rest of the
ages.
I'll provide all you need:
rest
reassurance
and a confidence
that says,
'I can do all things through Him.'"

Take My heart, Lord

Beauty behold
The light that must
Shape and make
And take
and take
It tenderly,
Softly
Molding
Making
Sculpting
Holding
My heart.
So, take it, make it, mold it,
Shape it
In the secret place.

Let Your love unfold my heart like petals.

Praise You

My eyes the size of key limes
can't hold the sky inside
I dance and twirl
sing and whirl
And praise You for the works
Your hands have made.

When I consider

When I consider
the stars in the sky
the work of Your hands,
Your fingers, I wonder.
When I look up and see
all You've done, when I consider
how You gave each a name, I can't
help but wonder how You formed me,
named me in the secret place, how You
placed me, traced me, and then with Your
embrace shaped me as clay. It was Your
love, Lord, that draws me to You, Your love,
Lord, that made me fear Your name
and wonder, My God, of the
works of Your fingers.

Covenant Love

I feel safe in Your arms
I feel close to Your heart
But it's not the feelings that
keep me wrapped up in You
It's the covenant love
It's Your place in my heart
It's the love that You showed me
It was making me new
It was loving me
before I loved You
It's hemming me in
behind and before
It's the love
It's the name
Who You are
O God, it is You!

None Sweeter

Lilacs, roses
none is sweeter
than
the fragrance of my King.

My King

I stand in the presence of
the King.
I stand in His presence and
I sing
How good, how righteous
It's plain to see
How holy, how lovely
Is my King.
Standing in His glory
Standing in this place
I kneel in His presence
Overwhelmed by His grace.
That this King would take me in
speak a better word
stand in my defense
Die for me
Take away my sin
Be lifted up and raised on high
This holy One
The One to whom I sing

Jesus Christ,
He's my King.

[We are in the kingdom.]

I sing to the King
I sing to His name.
How holy, how righteous
is His name
Great in all the earth
Great in fame, honor,
to Him is due
all the praise of my heart
all the thoughts of my soul.

Jesus Culture

Bursting stars
light breaking forth
Jesus culture
here on the earth.

Mask

A porcelain doll
A mask to hide
Cracking now that I find
who I really am in Christ.

Dream Big

Dream big.
Live louder in Him.
Dive deep.
Reach high.
There is no limit
Touch the sky,
the heavens,
what you desire
hope in Him—
He lights the fire.

Questions

What do I do to pass the time?
Do I desire to go deeper
to have the fire in Your eyes?
What is it that I seek?
the flame, the fire,
or how to survive the week?
Your heart, Your Kingdom
the life that You give
Or right here, right now,
the life that I seem to live?
Are my purposes temporary,
eternal, or blind?
Is the Word just a crutch
or is it my guiding Light?
Do I really trust
or do I fear?
Have I experienced His love
or do I remain still,
stagnant, without growth?
Have I been radically changed
or is it a joke?
Then I remember those words
You spoke:
"If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation,"
and the words that stay so near,
when I hear You whisper, "Dear, seek first My Kingdom
and His righteousness and all these things will
be added to you.
No more fear
not an ounce
My love covers you and dispels the doubt."
Love permeating, deeper and deeper
I see Your face in greater detail:
I want to be next to You.

You called it good

The earth melted in the shape of Your hands
And You called it good.
The stars dripped at Your fingertips and You called it good.
I want to touch the world
work through my fingertips
call it good,
these works through faith and love,
spoken, as we are One,
a team,
working together
to bring about Your glory
to bring Your great pleasure.
The earth melted in Your fingertips; You called it good.

Face to Face

I want the sun to drip down on the page
[the eggyolk of red]
the light to illuminate the shade
the warmth of Your face
to shine upon me
O Lord, let me see You—
I want to see Him as He truly is—
face to face.

Let Me Never Be the Same

Let this prayer surround my heart and bind it to Another's, ne'er to depart:

What's held inside my heart?
Desire, fire, a longing for Him?
Peace, love, a desire for them to
INVADE
the crevices, the hidden places,
the unfamiliar traces of what
was and is no more because
of the blood that was shed
o'er my heart, because of
the grace that set me free,
because of the TRUTH,
now I believe, He can
do anything. How do
I know, know He's true?
It's the LOVE
It's the kindness
that drew me to You.
So, consider all these
things and like
a hurricane, sweep
me off my feet and
let me never be the same.

It's just like a fire shut up in my bones,
a holy passion for my One and only love,
Jesus Christ,
God's only begotten Son, full of mercy and truth.

NOW I BELIEVE IT ALL COMES FROM YOU, LORD.

I Belong to You

I'm a ballerina on a stage
and I let my dance come through
I'm a singer without a cage
and I sing for You:
I belong, I belong, I belong to You
I am captured by Your grace
I am held by Your embrace
and I can't help but wonder
how I came to this place
where Your love washed over me
Your affections grabbed hold of me
and I sang:
I belong, I belong, I belong to You
The past is gone and You're my desire only
My eyes fix on Your lovely gaze
and I can't help but wonder how I came to this place
—this place of grace,
held in Your embrace,
my desire is for You only.

"You have ravished My heart,
My sister, My spouse;
You have ravished My heart
With one look of your eyes,
With one link of your necklace." (Song of Solomon 4:9)

Peace, Be Still

I'm thinking of how You saved my soul,
SOUL,
SOUL
how You made me whole,
WHOLE,
WHOLE
how You kept the anchor still
while the rudder wanted to row and row and row
The direction fading, anticipating the words that
would come out
And then the anchor kept its hold
and whispered, "Peace, be still."
How I long to know this love
that kept me still
while my mouth did say
"What in the world
is going on,
going down,
but fear not,
it's not this ship
for even in the storms we know
the anchor holds it still."
Though wind and waves do tug and tug
and bid the anchor make a pace
it whispers, "Peace, be still."

"This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek." Hebrews 6:19-20

My Prize

Jesus, I want my prize
to be a trophy to Your name.
I want to set it at your feet
and seek Your face.

The Mercy Seat

As I walk past
My heart echoes back
to the times I sang to You
when Your love covers me
and all I see is Your arms open wide
at the Mercy Seat
Lord, my heart is longing
Lord, my heart is drawing
unto You
And this heart that hungers
is chasing after You
You, completely,
You, wholly,
You, when You wrap Your arms around me
at the Mercy Seat.

Flood

June 15, 2007

Torrents of rain
A cleansing flood
A whisper of waves
Turned to a thud
Against the windowpane
Of our hearts
The darkness behind it
Brought to the light
Nothing to hide us
Nothing to fight
The Light and its Glory

The love that melts
The hardest of hearts
The name that makes tender,
In a whisper,
“I love you.”

Let Him Reveal It

"Whispering in your ear
Sweet melodious songs
Oh, Dear, do you hear My song?
My song of love going slowly,
Binding you up,
The brokenhearted.
Ah to know the sheer width of
My love, the height, the depth,
To you let it flow."
A Spirit of wisdom and revelation
To know Him better
To know His Spirit.
Let Him reveal it
To you and the nations
To you and the Kingdom
Within (among) you.

The One I Love

October 21, 2006

If they were to say I was in love,
I’d say, “It’s true.”
If they were to say I talked about You,
I’d say, “It’s true.”
For every waking moment I’m thinking of You.
Thinking of how You set the stars in place
Thinking of the warmth of Your embrace
Thinking of how You love me more than I can know
Thinking of how You cleansed me white as snow
Thinking of how You love me even now
Thinking of You and daydreaming how
I might know You closer,
Be drawn to You more
Lord, I know You hear this,
And upon my record,
I pray that I draw closer
And seek the reward
Of just knowing You the only way I know how
By accepting Your love and thinking of You now.
Thinking of how You sent Your only Son
Thinking of how You knew it must be done
Thinking of how, while whipped and scorned,
You watched Your only Son,
Bloody and worn.
You watched as He carried His own cross
Watched Him as He fell amidst their scorn
Watched Him as they nailed Him to the cross
With thorns on His brow
Watched Him before they even knew,
With blood running down His cheeks and hands,
That there He was, the Son of Man
There He was, with shame and scorn;
The very sins of man had sent Him there:
The sins of you and the sins of I,
Nailed God’s only Son to the cross to die.
And I imagine, as a Father, with love in Your eyes,
You watched Your only Son, watched Him die.
Watched Him with tears dripping down Your face
If only they all saw these tears on Your face
The tears that fell from a Father that knew
He could do nothing but watch,
Watch them mock the King of the Jews.
“Come down from there!” they cried,
“If You are the Son of God”
But don’t You know, You could have stopped,
Could have stopped right there
And provided a lamb,
Like to Isaac, a son.
But You didn’t because You knew it must be,
Knew He had to die to set man free.
So You watched Him and You heard Him,
Heard Him cry out,
“Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthan?”
(My God, My God, why have You forsaken me?)
Then He cried once more with His last breath
The Son of God had died at last.
Bloody and beaten, with lashes on His side,
They had crucified Him, innocent of crime
At the moment of His death the curtain tore in two
The law had been broken, the gap You knew
Separated us from You, before the lamb was slew.
When He said, “It is finished,”
The earth shook and quaked.
Were these Your tears, the clouds in the sky
The rocks that split, sorrows of Your eye?
Then they took the body, pierced His side,
Let the blood and water flow
Of a Son sent to die.
Then they took the body, wrapped it in cloth,
Lay the strips, along with aloes and myrrh,
And covered Him.
Three days later, just as He said,
A surprised Mary Magdalene found Him no longer dead.
“They have taken the Lord,”
She said and some more.
They came to the tomb and in awe
Stood there.
The body was gone, the strips lying there,
They believed what their Friend had said before.
Then He appeared to them, time and time again,
Until the time He had to leave them,
To be seated right there, at Your right hand,
My Savior, Messiah, Redeemer, and Friend.
That’s why I love You,
That’s why I say,
You are Jesus, risen from the grave!
It is because of You and who You are
That the scars on Your hands cleanse my heart.
Thank You Father, thank You Son, thank You Spirit,
For You are One.
The One I love, The One I adore,
The One who holds my very heart.

O Sweet Song!

June 15, 2007

O sweet song!
I sing all day long
Just to hear Your voice
To reach out and touch You
To open up and see You
Light all around
The glorious sound
The thundering voice
The rushing of waters
Oh, sing back to me
Sweet Song
I love to sing to You.

The Coming of Our King

May 13, 2007

Bright and Morning Star
Coming on the dawn
Beautiful One, Beautiful Lord
Suns in stream sets
Rising through the clouds
The coming of the Son
Beautiful One, Beautiful Son
Glorious appearing
Coming of the Son
Beautiful One, Beautiful Son
Joy and fear mixed into one
That’s You, Lord, Glorious Son
High and lifted up
Glorious One, Glorious Son
To behold the beauty
Of the One and Only
People get ready
The Glorious Son
Comes like the dawn
The coming of our King
Here He comes.

Do You Know Me?

January 12, 2007

“The world at your fingertips
Slowly dripping down
Into a ball—
Hard and calloused
Is this what you want—
A hardness in your hands?
Is this what you want—
What happened to My plans?
I’ve made you and I’ve formed you
In your mother’s womb
I know you well—
I know the hairs on your head
And the rhythm in your step
I know when you lie down
And when you get up
I know when you cry
And I know when you hurt
I know the sound of your laugh
And the shape of your smile
I know you, know your very being,
Know your very soul
But what’s more, do you know Me?”

ManaSota

There’s a place they call ManaSota
There’s a place they call Heaven
There’s a place where the two meet in the middle, yeah
There’s a place where we declare,
“Let it be done, Lord,
Let it be done, Lord,
Your Kingdom come,
Your will be done,
On earth as it is in Heaven."
There’s a place where we see the captives free
There’s a place where we see the dead raised up
There’s a place where we preach good news to the poor
There’s a place where we declare,
“Let it be done, Lord,
Let it be done, Lord,
Your Kingdom come,
Your will be done,
On earth as it is in Heaven."
There’s a place where we sing His praises all day long
There’s a place where Heaven’s culture invades earth
There’s a place where we see all of your Glory
And we’re here to declare:
“This is the place, Lord!
This is the place, Lord!"
Amen, Amen, Amen.

Let Them Be Free!

*Let the people clap, clap, clap
Their hands
Let the people do another
Dance
Let the people sing, let the
People shout
Let the people be
Let them be free!

*repeat*

Let the people sing, let the
People shout
It’s all for you! It’s all for you!

Let the people sing, let the
People shout
It's all for you! It's all for you!

We will sing for you
We will dance for you
It's all for you! It's all for you!

I will sing another song
I will dance another step
I will sing once more
I will shout once more
Yeah...
We're all for you!

(Thanks, Jordan!)

Going Home

Leaves are falling
Grace is calling me home
To my Father
To my Lord
Sin to be remembered no more.
The calf prepared
The party has started
My Father rejoices
His son has come home.

The coldness has gone
The warmness has come
Lighting a fire
Now I am home.

The desire anew
My heart beating fast
I’ll live for my Savior
And come home at last.
Oh, the joy!
Oh, the happiness!
I am my Savior’s
And my Savior is mine!

I Shall Not Fall Apart

Even in the difficult experiences, I will
Stand because God holds me at His right hand
He holds me and He’s called me
He’s set me apart
Made in His likeness
I shall not fall apart.

I Hear a Bell

I hear a bell
Tick-tock, tick-tock
I hear a bell ringing
But it is a crane
with a ball
crashing into the wall
of religion and tradition.

He is I AM

If I could take the world
And wrap it in my hands
If I could take the sea
And mix it with the sand
If I could shake the mountains
And all the dry land
I wouldn’t be me.

I couldn’t handle it, but God can.

He can take the mountains
And throw them in the sea
He can take the lightning
And crash them over me
He can take the world
And wrap it in His hands.

He will shake the
Nations and flood
The dry land.

He is I AM.

Signs, wonders, &
Billows of smoke
Flow from His
Throne room and
Into our hearts.
Treasures aplenty
Laid up in these
Earthen vessels He’s
Created to be
His hands, His feet.

Refiner's Fire

I pass through Refiner's fire
Flames constantly lick my skin
Melting it
So that in the end
I may be whole,
silver and gold.

My encounter

October 25, 2007

Can I hold You close?
Can I feel Your heartbeat?
Can You wrap Your arms
Around me?
Hold me ever so sweet.
Lord, for this love I am longing
Lord, for this love I am drawing
Unto You.
And seek the intimacy
Of just seeing You,
Speaking to You face
To face
As a wife to her husband
As a child to her father
Will You wrap Your arms
Around me?
Can I sit in Your lap?
Can I feel Your warm embrace?
This thing I won’t lack.
I’ll sit at Your feet
In Your presence I’ll weep
With joy from Your great
Love. Thank You Father, that we
Are one.
By Your Spirit, by Your blood
You tore the veil
Into Your presence I enter
Into Your presence I come
Knowing I’ll see You
Like a Man, and His Son.
Knowing that I’ll find You
And the Kingdom that
I seek
Laying all crowns before
You.
In Your presence I will
Weep with songs of
Joy and songs of love.
Songs in Your presence
New songs from above
That flow from Heaven,
Flow from Your throne
Whispered gently in my ear
Like a Father and His Son.
Oh this love?!
This love.
This is my Encounter!
“This is My Son!”

His name is love

October 26, 2007

Capturing my heart,
Making me whole
Your blood washes over me
I’m letting go
Surrendering to this love, this grace
Here I am, Lord, in this place
Crying out,
Seeking your face.
Love overwhelming
Going so deep
Crossing the boundary
Between You and me.
Now I know You
Now I see
Your name is love
And ever will be.

Cannot separate

October 20, 2006

I cannot separate them:
Love and Christ, or Christ and Love
They are one because the Father sent His Son.

Nor can I separate them:
Christ and I, or I and Love
They are one because the Father sent His Son.

Tell me of your love, Lord

Wednesday, January 30, 2007

Whisper in my ear
Sing a new song
Tell me of Your love, Lord
Tell me of Your love.

Whisper in my ear
Sweet melodious songs
Of You.
Tell me of Your love, Lord
Tell me of Your love.

“It is wide, it is deep, it is long
It is sweet, it is kind, patient
Longsuffering—for I suffered for you, my love
But, take heart, I have overcome
And I will sing a new song to you.
A song of mercy, a song of grace,
A song of My great love.
Come to Me, my love, and I
Will whisper sweet songs in your ear.

Can you hear it?
Can you hear My sweet song?
Like a chime, softly singing
Like a rhyme, I am bringing
You a new song.

Listen, Love, sing to Me a new song
And I will sing back to you.”

Psalm 33: 3 “Sing to Him a new song.”
